Economy

The Yulee Tradeplex, a small strip mall including a Winn-Dixie, a stand-alone Lowe's, and a Super Wal-Mart form the core of Yulee's economy. There are also numerous Nassau County government buildings in the area, as Fernandina Beach has become too overcrowded to host them. Several smaller strip malls are also being built in the area, which is seeing increasingly aggressive development. While not in Yulee, there are two large paper mills in Fernandina Beach.

One very large shopping center has recently been constructed on A1A in Yulee, which includes a Home Depot store and a Target store as well as smaller strip malls. The growth in the area is extremely aggressive and property values, as well as the cost of homes, are rapidly rising as the availability of land and/or homes so near the waterfront of Fernandina Beach become increasingly appealing to newcomers.

Yulee also is home to a world class golf course designed, in part, by Arnold Palmer - North Hampton. Yulee is also home To Amelia National with a Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio.

Fire protection

The Yulee area is served by 2 fire departments. It is served by the all career Nassau County Fire Rescue Stations 30 and 70. Yulee also has its own fire dept. The "Yulee Volunteer Fire Department" is dispatched along with the County department to all fire calls in the Yulee area.

Education

Yulee is home to both a middle school and high school, along with the Betty Cook Center, established and run by Florida State College at Jacksonville (formerly Florida Community College at Jacksonville), which offers classes for a variety of post-secondary degrees.
